

Craig Anthony Strikmiller went Home to be with Jesus on Thursday, May14th after a 6 year battle with Multiple Myeloma at age 57. He was the beloved husband of Patricia Kehoe Strikmiller and son of the late Leslie John Strikmiller, Sr. and Josephine Rizzuto Strikmiller. He was born August 13, 1957 and a native of New Orleans for 57 years. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Kehoe Strikmiller, his brothers Leslie Strikmiller, Jr., and Michael Strikmiller, and sisters, Pam Perry and Kathy Lahare. He graduated from Marion Abramson Senior High School in 1975 where he was selected “Mr. Abramson” by his peers. He was an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and was nominated for Athlete of the Year. Craig was an outstanding athlete and participated in high school football and baseball. He was also a member of the All-American Baseball League and a member of the Babe Ruth All Star Traveling Team 1972 through 1975. Craig graduated from the University of New Orleans in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He was a member of the Louisiana Professional Engineering & Land Surveying Board. He was a Professional Land Surveyor and member of the National Society of Professional Surveyors. He worked for EDG, Inc. for 14 years as a member of the structural engineering design group working on offshore oil and gas platforms. He will be terribly missed by his two favorite girls, Patty and his amazing dog Daisy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 4:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 2:00pm.
