Cynthia Owens, resident of McComb, Mississippi, died at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, Louisiana, on Sunday, June 20, 2021. She was 58 years old. Cynthia was the beloved mother of Anthony Owens and Sharon Tassin (Daniel); loving grandmother of Theresa, Alexander, and Connor Tassin; sister of Cheryl Clark (Vincent) and Mary Scott (Terry), and the late Carol and Cathy Owens; daughter of the late Nina Ellen Chandler; and many nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces. She also leaves behind her dear pets, Dolly Parton, Poochie, and Bear.
Cynthia was born in New Orleans on April 19, 1963, and moved to McComb, Mississippi in 2008. She loved arts and crafts, and especially crocheting. She also loved watching horror movies. Cynthia has the biggest heart, and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, July 3, 2021 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM. At 1:30PM, a graveside service will follow at Restlawn Park Cemetery, 3540 US – 90 in Avondale.
