

Daniel Albert Viguerie, 85, passed away May 28, 2018. He was born in New Orleans, LA on March 19, 1933 to the late Joseph Edward and Mercedes Fraering Viguerie. Danny graduated from Ridgewood Preparatory School and Mississippi Southern University. He also served in the United States Coast Guard. Danny began a career in sales working for Motorola after which he was an entrepreneur in the auto accessories industry for several decades. He was a member of the Southern Yacht Club for most of his life. He also belonged to several carnival organizations. A natural athlete, Danny ran track in college and participated in track and field events in the Senior Olympic Games throughout his 50s and 60s.
Danny is preceded in death by his beloved wife Felice Lemoine Viguerie, his brother Joseph Edward Viguerie, Jr. and his parents. Danny is survived by his daughters Felice Viguerie Killian (John Hume), Kathleen Viguerie Banta (Benjamin Hayden) and Danielle Viguerie Coco (Kirk Emmanuel); grandchildren Felice, Jax and Harley Killian, Campbell, Paige and Ellis Banta, and Cary Coco; sisters Claire Viguerie Evans, Anne Viguerie, Marie Viguerie Castaing and Elizabeth Viguerie Bienvenu; and many loving brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Danny was a devoted husband and father who made it a point to have fun and enjoy life to the fullest. He equally loved his hometown of New Orleans and Bay St. Louis, where he spent time throughout his youth and adulthood. He will be deeply missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 6367 St. Charles Ave. in New Orleans, on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 1:00PM. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 11:30AM. A private interment will take place on Saturday, June 2 at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Mansura.
