David Benjamin Finney

Beloved son of Scott and Patricia Finney.

Brother of Laura Finney.

Grandson of William Knobloch, Sr. and Dorothy Knobloch and the late William B. Finney and Mary Stevens Finney.

Nephew of William B. Finney, Jr. (Susan), Irene Kern (Sunny), John Kenneth Finney (Evelyn), Cathy Michaleck (Larry), James Knobloch, Jr., and Edward Knobloch (Patty).

He is survived by a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

David was highly intelligent and a free spirit. He worked at Avenue Scooters as a salesman. He also worked as a licensed water and waste water operator through the state of Louisiana and previously worked for Analysis Laboratories, Pace Analytical, and ETRS, LLC. He attended Delgado where he majored in Biology and Theatre. He had a starring role in Spike Heels, a Delgado production and assisted in the production in Coyote On A Fence. He was a fan of target shooting and was an avid learner. He was someone who always looked for the best in people.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 12 PM in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans. Visitation will begin at 10 AM. Interment in Metairie Cemetery will follow Mass.
