A Master's Degreed educator and administrator in the New Orleans public school system for 20+ years, Diane also served Dillard University, her alma mater (1967), as a Professor of Criminal Justice. For the thousands of students she taught over the years, she was known as Mrs. Pradd, Payne, and Pickett. When not teaching, Diane cared for her elderly parents, was an avid reader, loved to cook, and really enjoyed her Red Hatter monthly outings.
Diane was preceded in death by parents Hubert and Genevieve Magee; sister-in-law Rita Magee; and niece Stephanie Myles. She is survived by brothers Stephen Magee and Dr. Adrian Magee; nieces Kianta Ceasar, Jerica Ceasar, and Adrianne Magee; nephews Michael Magee, Tyrone Myles, Jarred Ceasar, and Adrian Magee II; great-nephews Maison Magee and Jaden Ceasar; and great-niece Jordyn Ceasar. She will be dearly missed by all.
Services at Mount Olivet Cemetery will be private.
