Donald Richard Nides went to be with our Heavenly Father on November 5, 2014. A beloved husband, father, and brother, he will be fondly remember by all who knew him. An excellent cook, a fisherman, and a dedicated 34 year veteran of the NOPD, Donald was a man who loved his family and who was always available to help a friend. Donald was a beloved and devoted husband to his wife Jane and a loving father to his children David (Katie) and Christine. His is also survived by his brothers and sisters Michael, Christopher (Renata), Mark (Karen), Charlene, and Claudia and his loyal and loving dog, Jax.
Relatives, friends, and fellow officers from the NOPD, Federal Court Security, and U.S. Marshals Service are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 12 noon. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private.
