Dorothy K. English

Dorothy Krobatch English was born on October 15, 1924 and passed away on May 26, 2016. She was predeceased by her husband Leo M. English Jr. and her parents Frederick T. Krobatch and Evelyn Fitzgerald. Dorothy and Leo had 5 sons Kenneth (Patricia), Gary (Susan), Wayne (Sandra), Dane (Kimberly) and the late Donald English. She was the grandmother of Ryan (Kristin), Jason and Kyle (Claudessa) English of Houston, Texas, Jessica Reese (Bradley) and Katherine Hecker (Michael), Lacey Bentley, Kallie Weber(Cory), Kayla English, Corey English( Allison) of Orlando, Florida, Justin and Jarod English. Dorothy also had 12 great grandchildren. Dorothy grew up in the Broadmoor section of New Orleans and began her business career in 1942 when she worked for Western Union as a Telex operator. She left Western Union in 1950 to start her family and returned in 1965 and worked until 1973. She then worked for Biehl Shipping through end of her career. Dorothy always greeted everyone with a smile and was a devoted mother and a talented artist. We love you so much mom. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans at 10:00AM on Tuesday, May 31, 2016.
