Dorothy "Joan" Marks Prator, beloved daughter, sister, mother & grandmother has been reunited with her father & mother, Nathaniel & Dorothy Marks in eternal peace with our Lord in heaven on December 29, 2014. Age 85 years. She will always be the matriarch of the Prator family. Her love, laughter and positive spirit will remain in the hearts of her family forever. She is survived by her three children: Robert, Annie, Richard and their spouses; as well as her six grandchildren: Stephanie, Michael, Sean, Andrew, Ariana & Gabriel as well as her great-grandchild, Avery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 3:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery.
