Douglas Gerard Walther on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 9:10 AM at home. He was 93 years old. Beloved husband of the late Betty Rauch Walther. Loving father of Diane Walther, Debra Walther Ulfers (Kirt), and Donna Walther Fiorella (Andrew). Grandad of Christopher Ulfers (Shannon), Allison Ulfers Smuck (Brian), and Jennifer Fiorella. Great Grandfather of Avery Ulfers, Kameryn Ulfers, Caden Ulfers, Cooper Smuck, and Baby Smuck. Son of the late Frederick Lawrence Walther and Antoinette Sickinger. Brother to the late Frederick, Donald, William and Robert Walther, Joyce Walther Morvant, Gloria Walther Scott, and Rita Walther Scullin and is survived by his brother Lawrence Walther and sister Carol Walther Frances.
Douglas was best known for his gentle, kind heart and his willingness to do anything for anyone. He loved his family with his whole heart.
The services for Douglas will be held privately. Our family would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support during this difficult time. They would also like to give a special thank you to the doctors and nurses of St. Tammany Health System along with his wonderful caregivers.
