Edna Fayette Utterberg

Edna Mae Fayette Utterberg, R.N., was born on November 14, 1929 and passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015. At age 85, she was peacefully called to His Heavenly Home. Edna was the beloved wife of the late Carl Utterberg. She was the daughter of Hector B. Fayette and Alcida Boudoin Fayette. Sister of Dorothy Fayette Depoorter (late Robert Depoorter), Earline Fayette Williams (late Gerald Williams), Marie Daigle Fayette, Dollyrinda Fayette Micheu, Annette Fayette Plaisance (Louis Plaisance, Sr.), Darlene Fayette Bruce (Martin Bruce), and the late Exos Fayette, Johnny Fayette, Sr., Nelvia Dufrene Fayette, and Earlis Fayette, Sr. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Edna retired from Charity Hospital of New Orleans after 32 years of service. She was Clinical Director of Nursing for the Operating Room. She was an active member of Charity Alumni Association for over 50 years. Edna was a member of Holy Guardian Angel Church Parish, a member of Senior Citizen Program Associated Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans, and a member of ACCW. She was a resident of New Orleans and Bridge City.

Relatives and friends of the family, as well as employees of Village in the Oaks Community and Heritage Manor Nursing Home, are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 1:00 PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 am until time of service. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park.
