Elaine Lacrouts Wingerter

Elaine Lacrouts Wingerter, a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the of age 90. Beloved wife of the late Warren W. Wingerter. Daughter of the late Octave and Theresa Lacrouts. Loving mother of Judy McIlwain (Mike), Karen Lancaster (Ed), Sue Cascino (George), Kris McGinn, Warren Wingerter Jr. (Ros) and the late baby daughter Lynne Marie Wingerter. Sister of the late Lorraine Lacrouts Pettingill. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wingerter graduated from Loyola University. She was a parishioner of St. Andrew The Apostle Catholic Church and a member of the Sages, The Marions of New Orleans and the St. Andrew’s Ladies Guild.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until time of mass. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Boy’s Hope/Girls Hope or to the cancer society of your choice.
