Eldred J. Paternostro, Jr., age 74 years, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Our Lady of The Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA. Beloved husband of Evelyn Bordelon Paternostro for 52 ½ years. Loving father of Melissa Paternostro Wax (Dennis), Brent John Paternostro, and Shari Paternostro Daigle (Jamie). Son of the late Eldred J., Sr., and Florence Burger Paternostro. Brother of Patricia Paternostro Vaught. Grandfather of Lindsey, Chad, Whitney, Layla, Evan, and Beau. Step-grandfather of Bobby, Casey, Blake, Brennon, and Jade. Mr. Paternostro was a retired Supervisor for Avondale and Bollinger Ship Yards after 45 years of service. Mr. Paternostro loved life especially after moving to Gonzales where he was able to enjoy his love for hunting and the outdoors each day. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 12:00pm. Visitation will be from 10:00am until 12:00pm. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
