Elizabeth Reeves Moschella, daughter of Thurman Wesley Reeves and Jessie Price Reeves, died peacefully at age 85 in the presence of family on Monday January 2nd, 2017. She was a native of Petal, MS. At the age of 18, on June 13, 1949 she married Salvatore Charles Moschella, her partner until death. She and Sal met in New Orleans after her relocation with her parents and two sisters, Gwen McPoland and Annette Senft. During her marriage, she and Sal lived in San Francisco, the Aluetian Islands, Long Island New York, and for the past 52 years in the Greater New Orleans Area. In addition to her husband and sister Gwen, she is survived by her three children, Victor Charles Moschella, Lizette Moschella Coughlin, and Anthony Charles Moschella, and nine grandchildren (Jordan, Paige, Kim, Dean, Colin, Ava, Carter, Lily Kate and Grey). Libby was an active member of Munholland Methodist Church and the Ikebana International Chapter of New Orleans for many years. Those who knew Libby, a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother, were fortunate individuals, as was she. Although she will be missed, we take comfort in knowing she is in a better place along with our previously departed loved ones. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd) on Friday January 13th. Visitation starting at noon, with a short service at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow immediately after at Lake Lawn Park Cemetery (5454 Pontchartrain Blvd).
