Elizabeth Buchanan Roth

Elizabeth Buchanan Roth passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the age of 94. She was born on May 9, 1929 to Robert and Catherine McAuliffe Buchanan. After finishing her education, she went on to work as a secretary for Prudential Insurance for 47 years. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Dominic Catholic Church. Betty, along with her husband Louis, loved to travel the world. She especially enjoyed her time in Medjugorje. She even made her way to Scotland to see her grandparents. She was also a gifted quilter who made many quilts for those lucky enough to be given one.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Roth; brother, Raymond Buchanan; and her parents, Robert and Catherine Buchanan.

Betty is survived by her sister, Cathy Daigle (Lenny); as well as Catherine’s children, Donna Elizabeth Wren (Chris) and Lenny Daigle, Jr. She is also survived by her grand nieces and nephews, Faye Daigle, Preston Wren, and Catherine Wren.

The family would like to send a special thanks to those who took good care of Betty, especially Debora and Shelia at Summerhouse Vista Shores.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 755 Harrison Avenue in New Orleans, on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 12 PM. Visitation will begin at 11 AM. Her family will lay her to rest in St. Patrick Cemetery #1 following Mass.
