

Elizabeth “Betty” St. Pierre passed away in Thibodaux, Louisiana on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at the age of 90. A native of Chackbay, Louisiana, she was born on February 26, 1935 to the late Clarence “Red” Durocher and Lois Brazan Durocher.
Devoted wife of forty-three years to the late Rodney St. Pierre Sr. Loving mother of Anita St. Pierre (André Guidry); the late Rodney St. Pierre Jr.; and Lois St. Pierre. Proud grandmother of Amy Monier (Chris) and great-grandmother of Simone and Jean-Luc Monier. Sister of the late Clarence Durocher (Ann); Philip Durocher (Jean); Gerald Durocher (the late Barbara); and Melanie Durocher (the late Ron Harleman). Betty is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Betty leaves a legacy of love, strength, and guidance. She was a long-time resident of Metairie, Louisiana, where she was a faithful member of the St. Christopher Catholic Church community. Betty loved traveling, playing cards and dominoes with friends, and staying politically informed. She enjoyed sports, especially the New Orleans Saints. Most of all, she valued time with her children and grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph Manor, especially her caregivers Constance Cassie and Taraneika Craft.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation for Betty on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans. Mass will begin in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Betty’s name to the Disabled American Veterans.
