Ellen Louise McPhail Fant passed away at her residence on Monday, August 25, 2014 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Hollis Collum Fant. She attended Syracuse University and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She worked for Land-Polaroid training servicemen in interpreting reconnaissance photographs during WWII. Mrs. Fant also worked and retired from South Central Bell and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Daughter of the late Raymond Leroy McPhail and Ethel Arabelle Reynolds McPhail. Loving mother of Holly Fant Wilson, Raymond Jeffrey Fant, Hollis Clyde Fant, Andrew Leroy Fant and the late Gregory Jackson Fant. Mother-in-law of Kathryn Hawkins Fant, Robbin Beatson Fant and the late Gerald Anthony Wilson, Jr. Grandmother of Kristine Mary Fant, Chelsey Noel Fant Neil, Benjamin Hollis Fant and the late Jacquelyn Faith Fant. Great grandmother of Sadie Rose Neil and Chloe Noel Neil. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Lakeview Presbyterian Church, 5914 Canal Blvd. New Orleans, La. on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Reception following in the Fellowship Hall.
