Ernest Joseph LeBlanc Jr.

Ernest J. LeBlanc, Jr. “Jay” passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015. He was born in New Orleans on February 9, 1936. Devoted husband of 58 years to Mary Ellen Guillot LeBlanc. Son of the late Lucie Drouet LeBlanc and Ernest J. LeBlanc, Sr. Loving father of Ernest J. “Jay” LeBlanc III (Kim), Harold G. LeBlanc (Wendy), and Luellen L. Mayhew (Richard) of London, England. Grandfather of Bradley Belloni, Scott LeBlanc, Kristen LeBlanc, Patrick LeBlanc, Stephen Mayhew, Abigail Mayhew, Gerard LeBlanc, and Gabriella Mayhew. Great grandfather of Ella and Joshua Belloni. Brother of Phyllis Indest, Gayle Grossimon (L. A.), Drouet LeBlanc (Dianne), and the late Marilyn Sicard. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, A. J. Sicard, many cousins and nieces and nephews.

Mr. LeBlanc was a retired banker. A graduate of Jesuit High School, class of 1954, and he attended L.S.U. He was past President of the Exchange Club of New Orleans and past King of the Alhambra’s Organizational Ball. Mr. LeBlanc was a parishioner of St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church. He was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Assembly 3226. He was a devoted L.S.U. Tiger fan.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:00AM.
