Eugene Peyton

Eugene J. Peyton, age 94, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. A native of New Orleans who resided there until Katrina. A recent resident of Marrero, La. Beloved husband of the late Emmaray (Ray) Johnson Peyton, his best friend and companion for 47 years. Also preceded in death by his parents Walter and Beatrice Lera Peyton and brothers Walter V. and Vick E. Peyton. Survived by

children Patricia P. Blanchard (Robert), Donald E. Peyton (Marcia), Stephan M. Peyton (Robin), and Diana L. Peyton. Also

survived by grandchildren Melissa B. Owen (Mark), Josh P. Blanchard (Tahnee), Amanda P. Babin (Nolan), Alexa P. McClain (Joel), Andrew C. Peyton (Julia), Adam C., and Drew E. Peyton. And his “little ones”, great grandchildren, Sadie and Peyton Babin and Karson and Peyton McClain. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

A veteran of World War II, serving 32 months in the European theater with the Army Engineers and was discharged as a

Tech/Sgt. Eugene retired from the National Finance Service, USDA, as a Computer Resource Manager after 40 years of Federal

Service. Life Member of the VFW, also a member of American Legion Post 175, NARFE Chapter 41 and Shoulder to Shoulder

Club. He was also one of the original members of the TOGOMS.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 12:00pm. Visitation will begin at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park.
