Mother of Michael Louis Tarnawski and Tina Marie Holloway; sister, Meri Lois Pinelli; grandchildren, Damien Holloway, Dharia Holloway, and Dayce Holloway; great grandchild, Damien Holloway Jr.; and former husband of 12 years, Walter Joseph Tarnawski.
Evelyn was proud of her career as a nurse assistant. She enjoyed photography, local politics, and volunteering for Jefferson Parish Counsel. She was a true animal lover and was involved with animal rescue groups.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Harry Lee family.
Family and friends are invited to a service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 2 PM. The public vitiation will begin at 12 PM. Her burial will immediately follow the service.
