

Everett C. Pittman Jr. went home for Christmas. Born on September 8, 1932 as the only child of Everett C. Pittman and Alice Erwin Pittman in New Orleans, LA. Resident of Slidell for decades, and also lived in Flowood, MS, and most recently Covington, LA. Preceded in death by grandson Christopher Michael Pittman. Survived by devoted wife of 61 years, Mary Alice Rousseau Pittman; children Peggy Ann Milden (Richard) of Pompano Beach, FL, Timothy Guy Pittman (Mary) of Waller, TX, Everett Michael Pittman (Sherri) of Washington, TX, and Kim Vanek (Richard) of Covington, LA; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Madeleine Ellison (Hal) and Nancy Elizabeth Greer (Gerald), and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graduate of Warren Easton High School and LSU. Owner of Mickey Construction Company. Lifetime member of United States Power Squadrons. Past Commander of New Orleans Power Squadron, District 15 Education Officer and Senior Navigator with a full certificate in Celestial Navigation.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 11:00 am at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation will begin at 9:00am until service time. Interment will take place following the service at Metairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Christwood Founders Fund 100 Christwood Blvd, Covington, LA 70433 or Community Care Hospice 1007 West Thomas St, Hammond, LA 70401.
