Florence Lind Ritter

Florence Lind Ritter, 90, daughter of Richard Lind and Myrtle Miller, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2015, with loved ones by her side. Step-daughter of Alberta Lind. Loving wife of the late Louis, Sr. Devoted mother of Louis, Jr. (Mary) and Terry (deceased.) Doting grandmother of four grandsons, Daniel (Ashley), Kenneth, [sons of Louis, Jr. and Rita], Troy and Christopher [sons of Terry and Karen.] Proud great-grandmother of Hayden and Maximus. Sister of Myrtle McNulty (deceased), Annabelle Breaux (deceased), Dorothy Geary (deceased), Richard Lind, Aline Selph and Linda Wolfe. At age 16, she took a job at Sears where she met the love of her life, Louis, a co-worker. They fell in love and were married on Pearl Harbor Day, December 7, 1941. They had a wonderful marriage until his death in 1997. Mrs. Ritter retired from AT&T. She later volunteered at East Jefferson General Hospital and Audubon Aquarium of The Americas.
