Francisco "Pipo" Pedro Ferrer

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Ferrer and Maria R. Sierra; wife of 55 years Mercedes Ferrer; siblings, Eloy Ferrer, Elsa Ferrer.

He is survived by his children Mercy Ferrer-Woods (Will), Pedro Ferrer; grandchildren, Jenny Woods Mejia (Aldo), Adrienne Woods (Rachel), and Bryant Woods; great-granddaughter, Camilla Mercedes Mejia; sister, Araida Ferrer; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A hardworking man, Pipo left Cuba in 1970 with his wife and children to find a better life for his family. He was an avid New Orleans Saints and Chicago Cubs fan, and loved watching tennis.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. and a graveside service will follow the funeral at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans.
