George C. Triche, 77, of Luling, Louisiana, went to meet his maker on April 13, 2026. He was born in New Orleans on October 19, 1948 to the late Lucien Taft Triche, Sr. and the late Leona Becnel Triche.
George is survived by Sue Triche; siblings, L. Taft Triche, Jr. (Gay) and Herman J. Triche (Elizabeth). He will be sorely missed by Hermie, his loyal dog. His family lived in the same residence for over 150 years. George graduated from Hahnville High School where he played trombone in the school band. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Nicholls State College and majored in secondary education. George loved playing music, flying, and crop dusting.
He was a member of the “National Stearman Fly-In.” He loved to speak to others about flying. He will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the “National Stearman Foundation” in Galesburg, Illinois or the St. Charles Humane Society.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1 Rectory Lane in Hahnville, on Friday, April 24, 2026. Visitation will begin at 9 AM with a Mass following at 11 AM. George will be laid to rest at 1:30 PM in Metairie Cemetery in New Orleans.
