
Gloria Mae Rebecca Justice Wagner, of New Orleans, passed away on January 8, 2017, age of 94. Gloria was a lifelong member of Salem Church. Her love was genealogy. Memberships included the Thomas Noble Chapter (DAC) where she served as regent on the state level as well as state historian; Spirit of 76 and Robert Harvey Chapters (DAR), served several times as regent; Areme and Perservance Chapters in Eastern Star, served as Worthy Matron; Louisiana Court #1 Order of the Amaranth, served as Royal Matron and Prelate and Grand Prelate on the state level; Captain Edward Jordan Society (CAR), past senior president. She moved to Tennessee in 2010 where she became active in the Encircler Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and Charity Court, Amaranth. Other memberships included the Jefferson Historical Society, Jefferson Genealogical Society, Genealogy West, and Southern Dames of America. Gloria graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Home Economics. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene A. Wagner, Jr.; parents, William Marion Justice, Sr. and Clara Rebecca Wall Justice; sisters, Annie Salome Justice, Clara Hilda Justice, Helen Lea Justice and Gwynne Irma Justice Johanson; brothers, William Marion Justice Jr., Miller Wall Justice, and James Lloyd Justice, Sr. She is survived by her sons, Eugene Anthony Wagner, III and wife Julie, Donald Edward Wagner and wife Janise; grandchildren, Allison Mae Wagner, Ryan Donald Wagner and Katherine Lynn Wagner. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Malcolm Richard officiating. Interment will follow in Masonic Cemetery No. 2.
