Guglielmo Pieri "Vic"

Guglielmo Pieri “Vic”, age 83, died at his home in Metairie, Louisiana, on Monday, May 23, 2022. Vic is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Carolyn Gueymard Pieri; his two daughters, Lisa Pieri Mickel (Gerald) and Julie Pieri (Kurt Schmiederer); his two sisters, Diva Tempestini (Gino) and Elvira Iovenitti (Elio); his two brothers, Joseph Pieri and Alessandro Pieri (Anne); and his granddaughter, Lauren Mickel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luigia Panepucci Pieri and Ugo Pieri.

Vic was born in Libya on April 17, 1939, and a native of Paganica, Aquila, Italy. He was the owner and operator of Vic’s Auto Glass. He loved spending time with his family, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, football, travelling to Fort Walton Beach, and the racing season at the Fairgrounds. He also loved his weekly poker nights, playing bocce, and he cherished time with his friends at the neighborhood bar, Eight Eighteen (Bachelor’s III). He lived to take care of his family. He loved life and lived it on his own terms.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 2:00PM. Prior to the Mass, a visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 12:00PM. The interment will follow the Mass at All Saints Mausoleum.
