Harry Peter Fitzner II passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016. He was 62 years old. Loving father of Peter Fitzner (Kesha), Matthew Fitzner (Dawn), and Roscoe (faithful pup). Proud grandfather of Carson Fitzner. Brother of Cheryll Whitman (Huey). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jackson and Audrey Evans Fitzner.
Harry was a U.S. Merchant Marine, and an avid fisherman. He worked at Bunge Grain Elevator for several years and retired in 1989. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 1:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00AM. Interment will be at a later date.
