

Hilton Francis Daigle, Jr., of Metairie, LA passed away peacefully November 11, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents Hilton F. and Leona W. Daigle of Metairie. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Carol deVillentroy Daigle; his four children - Mark Daigle of Atlanta, GA, Michele Daigle of Metairie, Sharon Daigle of Mandeville, and Eric Daigle (Lisa) of Metairie; eight grandchildren - Jeffrey Daigle, Melissa Daigle Williams, Brittany Doussan, Nicholas Daigle, Ross Doussan, Danielle Daigle, Lauren Daigle, Mary Daigle and three great-grandchildren - Deven Daigle, Ava Daigle and Preston Williams. Graduate of St. Aloysius High School in New Orleans and Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Hilton and Carol were married in 1951 and were stationed in Savannah, GA while Hilton served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Daigle was a structural engineer for Ogle & Associates, Gillen Engineering & Delta Piling and later owned his own construction and home remodeling business prior to retiring. In lieu of flowers, Masses or donations to the Wounded Warrior Project preferred. Visitation will begin at noon on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at St. Benilde Catholic Church, 1901 Division Street in Metairie, followed by a Funeral Mass and celebration of Hilton's life at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at St. Louis Cemetery No. 3.
