Ira George Clark, Jr., a retired Land Manager with Shell Offshore Inc., died peacefully on March 9, 2018 in Lexington, South Carolina. He was 92 years of age. Mr. Clark was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, attended the University of the South, and graduated from The University of South Carolina. He was a member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity and a fixture at Galatoire’s Friday lunch. He was a resident of New Orleans from 1963 to 2010, when he moved to Lexington to live on beautiful Lake Murray with his son, George Streckfus “Streck” Clark and daughter-in-law, Ann Willis Clark. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Streckfus Clark, and both of his children, Stansel Clark Hubbard and Streck Clark, as well as his parents. He is survived by three grandchildren, Clark Steven Hubbard (Ashley) of Zachary, Louisiana, Benjamin Streckfus Clark of Brooklyn, New York (Simone) and Hillary Ann Clark of Lexington, South Carolina. He was blessed to be the great-grandfather of Emily Rose Hubbard and Elizabeth Grace Hubbard.
