Iris was born in New Orleans on May 14, 1946, and was raised in St. Bernard Parish. She was a devout Catholic and a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Divine Providence in Metairie.
Iris was the kind of woman who spent her life taking care of everyone else. A caretaker by nature, she loved deeply and without limits. She cared for her children, her grandchildren, and so many friends who weren’t born family but became family because of her love.
She was the center of so many memories – countless New Year’s Eve parties that stretched late into the night, Christmases filled with warmth, laughter, and togetherness, and her famous lasagna that everyone looked forward to and will never forget. Her home was a place where people gathered, felt welcomed, and felt loved.
She leaves behind a space that can never be filled, but also a lifetime of love that will never fade. She will be missed more than words can say, always remembered, and forever loved.
