

Irma Coleman Guinle, age 95, passed away quietly after a brief illness with family beside her on Friday, January 9, 2015. She was the beloved wife for 30 years of the late Francis C. Guinle. She is survived by her sister; Claire C. Raphael. Daughter of the late May Juliet Wicks and John Michael Coleman, she was predeceased by her brothers John M. Coleman, Jr., Roy H. Coleman, Sr., and Donald S. Coleman. While Irma had no children of her own she was proud to be “mother” to her nine godchildren. She was “Nan” to her many nieces, nephews, great, great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews, all of whom mourn her passing. Irma retired in 1985 from Winn Dixie after 50 years of service, her latter years in their data processing unit. She was a founding member of St. Philip Neri Parish in Metairie, LA, and until her illness was an active member of their Young at Heart Program. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial that will take place in St. Philip Neri Church, 6500 Kawanee Ave., Metairie, LA, on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 12:30 pm. Visitation will be held in the church from 11:00 am until time of the Mass. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred.
