Isolina Torres Cazenave

Isolina Cazenave, age 89, passed away on June 8,2024, in Metairie, LA. She was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. She will be deeply missed by her children, Aldo R. Cazenave (Joy) and Karla Cazenave Rupp (Ted); her two grandsons, Christopher Cazenave (Molly) and Stephen Cazenave (Kristin); and her great-granddaughter, Sofia Rose Cazenave.

Isolina was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rene Cazenave; her parents, Ruby Cole Torres and Jose Antonio Torres; loving sisters, Ruby Rodriguez, Adriana Rourk, Margaret Gracianette, and her brother Edwin Torres. She is survived by her sister Leonela Ryals and brother Raul Torres, whom she loved dearly, along with her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In her late teens, Isolina earned a scholarship and attended Ursinus College in Pennsylvania and thoroughly enjoyed her years teaching English to children. She subsequently enjoyed a 35-year career as an international medical underwriter with Pan-American Life Insurance Group.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, June 15, 2024. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am, followed by the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, at 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124, followed by the interment at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
