J. Keith Revels

Born on December 9, 1949 in Gainesville, Florida, Keith left all who loved him on September 29, 2016 after a brief illness. During his 66 years he always strived to get the most out of life. He graduated LSUNO with a degree in Political Science. For over 40 years he enjoyed his career in the oil and gas industry. His career took him from the Gulf of Mexico to many international locations including Singapore, China, Venezuela, Nigeria and Kazakhstan, until his retirement 6 years ago. Keith loved to travel with his wife Susan, having visited 39 countries and all seven continents. He was an avid reader, with an encyclopedic knowledge of history, literature, movies and trivia, and he lived for his time with family and friends. Keith was preceded in death by his parents, John Clifton and Helen Revels. He is survived by his wife, Susan Bosworth Revels; his sons, Eric (wife Stephanie), Alec; and his most precious grandchildren Serena and Johnny. He leaves behind two sisters, Victoria, Heidi, and a large extended family. Services will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 9am until 11am with a memorial service to follow immediately thereafter.
