Jacquelyn D. Markey

Jacquelyn Rita (Dwyer) Markey passed away Wednesday morning June 7, 2017 surrounded by children, nieces and nephews following her battle with Cancer. She was proceeded in death by her husband of 52 years Michael Joseph Markey Sr., her Mother Thelma (Hubley) DeLerno, her father Timothy C. (Bob) Dwyer and her Sister In law Betty Markey Smith as well numerous Aunts and Uncles.

She is survived by her children Michael (Liz) Markey, Colleen (Drew) Story, Patti (Michael) Mahoney, Timothy Markey and Staci (Joe) Bevinetto. As well as 8 grandchildren, Ashley(Brett) Connolly, Joseph Bevinetto II, Kathryn Markey, Chelsea Mahoney, David Mahoney, Lauren Story, Tyler Story and Peyton Markey. As well as one Great Grandchild Markey Thomas Connolly. Also survived by her Aunt Mary Elsie (Peterson) Hubley. Her Sister In Laws Shirley Markey , Patsy (Henry) Montegut, Gaynell (Angelas) Robin. Her cousins Bonaylnn (Kerley) Johnson, Janice (Kerley) Girod, Cynthia ( Cousins) Bennett, Jannell (Cousins) Parker , Noel (Dwyer) Livaudais, Dr.Rhett (Ellen) Hubley and Greg (Sarah)Hubley, Also survived by her extended family of 47+ years Bernard and Mary Rose D’Archangelo Family.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bernard , Frank and Joseph D’Archangelo , Ronnie Wolf and J Garland Bolden. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Monday, June 12, 2017 in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, beginning at 10am. The interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 5pm until 8pm.

In lieu of Flowers please make a donation in her honor to Jesuit High School or St. Mary Dominican High School.
