Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Hazel Delaune Zito; her daughter-in-law, Angelle Soileau; and her brother-in-law, Emanuele “Manny” Allen.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, James Malcolm Soileau; her four children, Warren Soileau (Donna), David Soileau, Geraldine “Geri” Schaff (Charles), and Gary Soileau (Kelly); her ten grandchildren, Amber Odom (Michael), David Soileau, Jr., Mathew Soileau, Shelbi Lougon (Jacob), Jami Schaff, Philip Bourgeois (Heather), Joshua Bourgeois, Connor Ward (Rachel), Logan Soileau, and Kolby Soileau; her two great grandchildren, Isabella and Brinley Bourgeois; her sister, Paula Allen; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by her pet turtle, Franklin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial gathering at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 10:00AM until 12:00PM. The interment will immediately follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
