Jean B. Perrin died Tuesday July 26, 2016 after a brief illness at the age of 89. She is survived by her children and grandchildren with husband Felicien Perrin: son André, daughter Adrienne and her husband Allan Parr, son René, his wife Madeleine and their daughters Michelle Madeleine and Julia Marie. Their daughter Michelle Marie died in 1964. Jean is also survived by step-daughter Carol P. Lehr, her children James C. Lehr, Christa P. Molzen (husband Denny), their son Jaxson, and Simone Bellamy (husband Jim), daughter of Jean's other stepdaughter, the late Sylvia P. Brown. Jean’s parents Thomas and Veronica (Vera) Buckley and her brother Thomas F. Buckley preceded her in death. She is survived by sister-in-law Monika Buckley.
Jean was born in New York City, but spent most of her life in New Orleans. She was an international flight attendant with Delta Airlines until her marriage, and later was a successful real estate agent for over 30 years.
Jean was an avid card player, an accomplished artist, and loved flowers and animals, especially her beloved dog, Toby. Jean had a great sense of humor, and as most of us know, spoke her mind freely. She was game for almost anything that came her way, especially travel. Her friends were near and dear to her.
As Jean wished, a private gathering will be held by her family at a later date to honor and celebrate her life. She touched the lives of so many, and we hope that you will take a moment to honor her in your own way.
If you so choose, please make a donation in Jean’s memory to Louisiana SPCA or charity of your choice.
