Jeanette M. Senez Cummings

Jeanette M. Senez Cummings passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015, at the age of 86. Jeanette was born in New Orleans to the late Anthony and Bennierita Mortellaro. She moved to St. Bernard and lived there until 2005, when she moved to Mandeville.

Jeanette is survived by her seven children Mary Dow, Janet Demary (Paul), Donald Senez, Jr. (Alice), Henry Senez, Sr. (Linda), David Senez, Sr. (Vivian), Paul Senez (Shannon), and Joseph Senez, Sr. (Gina); sisters Rose and Marie; grandchildren Jimmy, Kristie, Nicole, Timmy, Melissa, Donald, Jr., Brandon, Donielle, Joelle, Henry, Jr., Stacy, Corey, Blake, Derek, Jilian, Julia, Dylan, Austin, Morgan, Joseph, Jr., Christopher, Kyle, and Kolby; thirty great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald Senez, Sr; sisters Florence and Pauline; brothers Henry, Carlo, Jake, Joseph, Tommy, Joe, Marion, and Sam; daughter-in-law Alice Senez; son-in-law Terry Dow, grandson David Senez, Jr.

Jeanette will be fondly remembered for her love of Avon and will be missed by her sisters who she met weekly. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2015. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park and Mausoleum.
