Jennifer “Jenny” Reiner Winstead passed away on January 29, 2018 at the age of 71. She was preceded in death by parents Charles and Martha Reiner and sister Susan Reiner. Jenny is survived by her husband Daniel Winstead, daughter Laura Winstead (Doug), and son Teddy Winstead (Amanda). She was a doting grandmother to Sebastian Winstead and Ainsley and Connor Stirrett. She is also survived by numerous members of extended family, many former coworkers, and hundreds of beloved former students.
Jenny was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and spent most of her career as a devoted 1st grade teacher and librarian at Isidore Newman School where she also served on the Board of Governors for a time. Jenny was a member of St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian Church.
Jenny loved to cook, grow orchids, travel and raise dogs. Her versions of oysters Mosca and barbecue shrimp will be sorely missed. She touched many lives as a teacher and had tremendous pride, love, and admiration for her former students.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Isidore Newman School. A celebration of her life will be held in mid-March.
