Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, James J. and Doris B. Manalla.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Bill Chauvin; her daughter, Michelle Chauvin; her two sons, Jeffrey and Gregory Chauvin; her sister, Patricia Hardin; and her two grandchildren, Jackson and Abigail Livings.
Joanne was born in New Orleans on May 16, 1954. She graduated from Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic High School on Canal Street in 1972 and attended the University of New Orleans, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha – Delta Nu Chapter.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 12:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00AM. The interment will follow the Mass in Metairie Cemetery.
