John Peyton Beresford Fox

John was born on June 23, 1947 to Charles and Catherine Fox in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended Metairie Park Country Day School before graduating high school from Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire. John studied English Literature at Princeton University and returned home to pursue his law degree at Tulane University. After spending time at the New Orleans Legal Assistance Corporation and Heisler & Wysocki, he started his own firm where he represented injured individuals and workers for the remainder of his career. John loved fishing, history, literature, listening to music, playing guitar, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

He was a dedicated father and is survived by his son, Brendan Beresford Fox; nephew, Barry Maxwell Fox, Jr.; niece, Elizabeth Mayo Fox; grandson, Jude Beresford Fox; and granddaughter, Adrienne Allen Fox. He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Aymard Fox; father, Charles Beresford Fox; and brother, Barry Maxwell Fox.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
