John F. Steen Sr.

John F. Steen, Sr., born September 11, 1953, passed away Thursday evening July 30, 2015. John was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended Jesuit High School (1971) and the University of New Orleans. John was a 31-year employee of the Jefferson Parish Recreation Department, retiring in 2004. John had a passion for life, love of fishing, fondness for travel, and loved spending time with his grandsons. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clark Eugene Steen Jr., and Paula Mandina Steen. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Camille B. Steen, son John F. Steen, Jr. (Stacey), daughter Julie Steen Daley (Chad), grandsons Chase R. Daley, Jackson R. Daley, Ethan J. Steen, brothers Clark Steen III and Gregory Steen (Maria), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was greatly loved and will be missed by many. A memorial service will be held at the Chapel of the North American Martyrs at Jesuit High School, 4133 Banks Street, Saturday August 8, 2015.
