She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Cora Buras; husband, Harold Aldrich Holland; brothers, Bernard (the late Jane) and Alfred Buras; sister, Estelle Buras.
She is survived by her sister in-law, Helen Buras; nephews Bernard "B.B." Buras (Patti), Ben Buras and Bill Holland (Mary); nieces Jeannine Dufrene (Otis), Rachele Popich, Judy Buras, Nan Grey (Ben), Janice Dinet (Doody); as well as numerous great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
Joyce Holland received awards for 50 years of service at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital Auxillary in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and a graveside service will follow the funeral mass at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
