

Julia was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Thelezia and William Spahr, Sr. She was the sister of the late Bill Spahr, Jr., who was the founder of Spahr’s Seafood Restaurant in Des Allemands, Louisiana. Julia was married to the love of her life, Stephen Asprodites, Jr., until his death. Together, they made many cherished memories.
Julia is remembered by her surviving daughters, Lin Ann Rosman Liuzza (Deacon Joseph), Diane Rosman Sabatier (Douglas), and Nicole Asprodites Miller (Richard); grandchildren, Jesse (Otilia), Justin, Steven (Maggie), and Claire Sabatier, Jareth Rosman (Amanda), and Gabrielle Miller; great grandchildren, Penelope and Theo Sabatier, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Julia was a sales entrepreneur and a receptionist for many years. She was known for her vibrant personality. Julia was a social butterfly who made friends everywhere she went. She loved spending time with her family and traveling.
She was an avid Mardi Gras reveler, who loved to dance. Fun times were had playing cards with her Ladies Poker Club and many precious memories were made with her Ya-Ya sisters.
Julia’s daughters would like to thank Renada and the caregivers at Peristyle’s Old Metairie Gardens II for their compassion, love, and exceptional care. They wish to also thank Hospice Specialists of Louisiana for their kindness, care, and support during Julia’s last few months.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Monday, July 28, 2025 at 12:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00AM. The interment will follow the Mass at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
