Kathleen "Kakie" Karem Ransone was called to heaven on March 19, 2024. Kakie was born Kathleen Ann Karem on July 23, 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Robert Louis Karem and Barbara Ann Weichman Karem, both of whom predeceased her. She is survived by her adoring husband of 47 years, John Edward Bromwell Ransone III; her loving son, John Edward Bromwell Ransone IV (Jennifer); her granddaughters, Ruth Elizabeth Ransone and Frances Grace Ransone; and her brothers, Robert Louis Karem and Mark Bernard Karem (Colleen). She is further survived by her three caring nephews and many thoughtful cousins. Kakie devoted her life to her family and was known for her kindness, generosity, and selflessness. Family and friends were frequently treated to Kakie's unforgettable gourmet cooking and warm hospitality. Services will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and Mass will commence at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
