

Kevin Quinet, born in New Orleans on October 24, 1989, left this life on July, 16, 2025. Kevin was a graduate of St. Martin’s Episcopal School, attended Rowan University, majoring in communications, and received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Tulane University.
Kevin began his career designing marketing campaigns while developing his interest and expertise in the local film industry as technical assistant and frequent “extra” in NCIS New Orleans and many other locally filmed movies like 23 Jumpstreet and the “This is Spinal Tap” sequel.
However, Kevin’s driving passion was animal care. He founded his own pet care company, then honed his skills in animal training and veterinarian care, most recently at Crescent City Veterinary Clinic and Animal Wellness and Emergency Clinic.
Kevin leaves behind to cherish the memories of his life his father, Dr. Robert Quinet, mother, Mary Quinet, and brother, Dr. Stephen Quinet. Kevin is also survived by his sister-in-law Dr. Jill Hammersley, Kevin’s adored niece, Isobel Quinet and nephew, Emile Quinet, as well as Kevin’s intended wife, Lisa Laine. Also mourning the loss of Kevin are his aunts, Kay Haines, Elaine Quinet, and Marienne Quinet and uncle, James Quinet.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Kevin’s Life on Thursday, July 24, 2025. At Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA. Visitation will be held from 12 PM – 1 PM with a memorial service to begin at 1 PM. All of those wishing to share cherished memories of Kevin will be urged to share them at this time or can email them to Kevin’s mother at [email protected] so they can be read aloud.
In lieu of flowers, Kevin’s family requests that donations in his memory to the animal rescue or veterinary science research charity of your choice.
