

Lilly was born February 2, 1938 in Canton, China to Fon Yee Fong and James Mon Fong. After moving to America, she attended Loyola and was a member of Chinese Presbyterian Church.
She was a devoted co-owner of a cherished Chinese restaurant in Kenner, Louisiana, where she spent many proud and fulfilling years welcoming guests with warmth and genuine joy. She loved being in the restaurant, treasuring the daily interactions with her customers and taking great pride in the establishment she helped build. Beyond her work, Lilly had a spirited love for playing slot machines and delighted in excitedly sharing stories of her winnings with family and friends. She also had a special love for dogs, finding comfort and companionship in their loyal presence. Above all, she deeply loved her children and grandchildren. As a grandmother she beamed with pride, finding her greatest happiness in the accomplishments and laughter of her family.
Lilly was preceded in death by her loving husband of 34 years, Henry Tung, when he passed away January 31, 1992. She was also preceded by her parents, Fon Yee and James Mon Fong, and brothers, William Fong and Tom Wah Fong.
She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Tung and Lisa Tung Keller (Brian); sons, Steven Tung and Jerry Tung (Wendy); sisters, Mae Fong Jeu and Judy Fong; and brother, Jung Fong. Lilly is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Marcus Lee, Jordan Lee, Sydney Keller, Madelyn Keller, Brady Keller, Tuan Tran, Andrew Tran, and Paul Tran.
Relatives and friends are invited to Lilly’s funeral services on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, Louisiana 70124. Visitation begins at 9:00 am until the chapel service at 11:00 am. Burial will be private.
