She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vincent Militello, and her parents, Lawrence and Margaret Maitland.
Linda is survived by her three children, Vincent Militello, Angela Palazzotto (Ronnie), and Michael Militello (Norma); her five grandchildren, Brandon Richoux (Maddie), Gage Militello, Paylan Militello, Bella Militello, and Steysi Garcia; her brother, Larry Maitland (Lita); her sister, Nancy Groetsch (Barry); and her sister-in-law, Ida Militello. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Linda was born in Humboldt, Tennessee on January 23, 1949, and she moved to New Orleans in 1982. She was a nurse and worked with Ochsner Hospital for over 25 years, retiring in 2016. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Friday, January 2, 2026 beginning at 11:00AM. A graveside service will follow at 12:00PM in Lake Lawn Park.
