LJ was born in Crowley, Louisiana to Ophy and Dutile (née Villejoin) on July 28, 1931. He was a member of the Navy Reserves and spent many years as the Construction Foreman for Stewart Enterprises. He enjoyed flying, fishing, and travel. Most importantly, he loved doting on and spending time with his wife of 62 years, Eva Dell Domingue Aucoin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Dell; his son, Michael Dale Aucoin; his parents, Ophy and Dutile Aucoin; sisters, Dorothy, Betty, Janice, Alice, Eljean, Dolores, Louella, and Enez; and his brothers, Jessie, Adam, Pat, Alex, and Junior.
LJ is survived by his sons, Chad (Ronaele), Curt (Renee), and Shane (Pam); sisters, Debbie and Inez; grandchildren, Zach, Celeste, Jason, Beth, Ashley, Christina, Nicole, and Chad Michael; and numerous great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Serenity Senior Residence for everything.
A private Celebration of Life will be held to honor LJ’s well lived life at a later date.
