Logan Michael Bogran passed away unexpectedly on June 18th, 2023. He was merely 37 years old when he succumbed to a longtime battle of mental illness. His family and friends are deeply saddened by his sudden death.
Logan was born in Metairie, Louisiana to Ben and Lynn Bogran on May 15, 1986. He attended Our Lady of Divine Providence School where he made life-long friends. He went on to become a graduate of Archbishop Rummel high school. While attending Rummel, Logan was a member of the wrestling team and Head Start where he donated his time to charitable organizations. He dressed up as a pumpkin and Christmas elf to hand out gifts to children in need. Logan had the biggest heart.
He was a private and quiet person but also very witty and fun! He was fearless and independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate. He enjoyed art, drawing, music, video games and had a strong love for animals. He had a passion for all things sports related, especially the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers. He loved to travel and craved adventure, never staying in one spot for long. He was strong-willed and stubborn, but those traits defined Logan. They were part of who he was.
Logan is survived and missed by his parents, Ben and Lynn Bogran and his two sisters, Lyndsey Ayo (Ryan) and Carol Perricone (Cameron). His memory lives on with his nieces and nephews, Carson, Kinsley, Charleigh, Keegan and Caroline. He will be forever cherished and remembered by his aunts, uncle and cousins, Maria, Kim, Julie, Greg, Tara, Hutch, Kyle and Kaitlyn.
Logan is preceded in death by his grandparents, Benjamin & Norma Bogran and Frank & Carol Carter.
Logan was a strong fighter. He is now sailing a journey to shores that we cannot see. We know he is free from pain and is floating peacefully in the crystal-clear waters of his dreams.
“Seeing death as the end of life is like seeing the horizon as the end of the ocean.”
A visitation and funeral mass will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Saturday, July 8, 2023. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until mass at 11:30 a.m. The interment will follow on the same grounds in Metairie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Logan’s name to Bridge House (www.BridgeHouse.org).
