Loretta Ellen Fitzpatrick Maher, age 91, entered eternal life on January 16, 2015. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, James Vincent Maher. She was the daughter of Loretta Kelly Fitzpatrick and Thomas Stephen Fitzpatrick, Sr. She was sister of Mercy F. Pepperman, Emmett M. Fitzpatrick and the late Mary F. Hurstell and late Thomas Stephen Fitzpatrick, Jr. Her memory will stay alive through her children James T. Maher, P. Kelly Maher (Sandi), Michael J. Maher (Julia), Mary M Fullmer (Eric), Ellen M. Hays (Ken) and Catherine M. Richard (Pat), 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren along with many loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial at St. Benilde Catholic Church, 1901 Division St. Metairie, LA at Noon on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 with visitation beginning at 9a.m. Interment at All Saints Mausoleum at Lake Lawn in Metairie. In lieu of flowers donations to Dominican Sisters of Peace or St. Benilde Catholic Church are preferred.
