Lorraine May Kippes Davis (Suzy) age 91, of Harahan Louisiana entered her eternal life at her home on Friday, September 18, 2015. Beloved wife of her husband of 71 years, Vernon G. Davis Jr. Mother to six sons, Vernon III wife Lynn, Mike Sr. wife Debbie, Ron Sr. wife Lisa, Kenny Sr., Darrell and Dale. Grandmother of 16 grand children, Vernon, Suzie, Michael Jr, Therin, Ben, Mary Michael, Tammy, Michelle, Ron Jr. ,Jennifer, Adam, Kenny Jr. , Angel, Amber, Heidi, and Ashley, and 32 great grand children and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
Lorraine was a native of New Orleans and a long time resident of Harahan, La. She will be remembered for being a devoted wife to her husband and mother to her children, as well as being “mom” to many others and a wonderful avid golfer and girl- scout leader. God is welcoming her with honor and gratitude for the love she showed to the many she came in contact with during her time on earth. She will be greatly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
